Buying European Furniture

European Furniture

European Furniture

When buying European furniture you are choosing from a wide range of different styles and options, though the best of these items of European furniture will somehow reflect their European origin and offer something different to the rest of your non European furniture.

The wide range of European furniture available means that you have lots to choose from no matter your décor. For example there is a lot of designer European furniture that will look great in a modern looking setting. Most of this more modern European furniture will come from countries such as France and Rome who are well known for their design. Germany though too puts out a lot of highly modern looking European furniture and there are also some well known English designers of European furniture. For a modern and affordable European furniture manufacturer you need look no further than Sweden and their IKEA store (a paradise for many Europeans who enjoy interior design).

Meanwhile for a more ‘traditional’ or classic flavour there is also a lot of antique, or antique-looking European furniture to choose from – much of it from England. This can give your European furniture a very ‘Victorian’ look and make your home look like an old manor house or country home. This European furniture doesn’t have to be very expensive, and you can find many fairly modern and cheap European furniture that’s made to look like antique modern furniture. In some cases you can get antiquing for your European furniture to make it look distressed as though it was older than it was. This is a great way to get the look of old Victorian European furniture without necessarily having to hunt it down or get the expense.

For a more multi-cultural décor you can also get more Eastern looking European furniture from Turkey and other Eastern European countries. This often has a more dainty looking frame as well as in some cases more flamboyant patterns. This would look great in a room with other Eastern décor such as Turkish rugs, with more eclectic decors with a multi-cultural theme, or as a stand out piece in a more modern looking layout.

Thus there are a few different things to look out for with European furniture, and shopping in different countries will result in different properties for your furniture. Make sure you look into the shipping costs and any surcharge. Almost any European furniture though can be found on eBay and elsewhere online, or even be specially made. Other non-European furniture might also have a ‘European flavour’ if you know where to look.

The european furniture can seriously improve your room’s look. I’m not a fan of the furniture, tho’. My wife bought some eastern looking european furniture. He likes those things. So I think my european furniture is from Turkey or smth.

You can do a lot of great things playing with wood. If you have an artistic side you can create beautiful things. Making European furniture, it’s like sculpting, an art.
I’ve seen a lot of old and beautiful European furniture in museums. I like this kind of things. I actually have an old chair at home from my grandfather.

Choosing from all European furniture styles was difficult. There were so many items I loved. But there weren’t enough space to put all of them. :D
European furniture, indeed, reflects their origin. I have some nice pieces from France which I love.

There are different styles of European furniture I like.
My favorite is the old style. My room is furnished with this kind of European furniture. I feel like a king. I only need a throne.

I don’t like the old style of European furniture. I like more the modern one. We live in 2011 not in the past. For me this kind of European furniture look obsolete. But this is only my opinion.

Sincerely, when I enter a European furniture shop I feel like I’m in heaven. Not only because I go shopping, but because there are o lot of styles of European furniture. It was hard for me to decorate my home. My husband and I thought very well about what style we should adopt. At the end we choose an antique look for our European furniture.

European furniture usually represents a kind of happy compromise between the complex and the simple. It mostly consists of modest, elegant designs that privilege thick, shellacked finishes and hand-rubbed coats of wax. Colors are earthy but rich. These are the reasons to preferring European furniture than others. I like it a lot and hope others might like it as well
