Choosing European Hotels

Choosing European Hotels

Choosing a hotel is an incredibly important part of any journey. Even if you’re the kind of holiday maker who doesn’t intend to spend too much time in the hotel you will still find that feeling safe and warm in the room makes a big difference to how much you enjoy your stay. However many people still take the process for granted and incorrectly assume that European hotels are much of a muchness.

There are certainly things to look out for to make sure you make the most of your European travel. Here we will look at a few things to look out for with European hotels to help you choose one correctly.

Price: The price is of course an important selling point. You will likely have a budget and be restricted by this to an extent. At the same time though the price can sometimes reflect the quality of the hotel (you get what you pay for in other words) – so make sure that you look at the star rating of the hotel too and the other facilities on offer and then choose the cheapest of the hotels you like.

Location: Obviously this is very important for any hotel. It is not enough to just look for European hotels in the city you are visiting, but also hotels with good transport links, good amenities and facilities nearby and in short distance from the sites you wish to visit. You also want to make sure the area is pleasant, safe and clean. Look on Google Maps to get a good idea of the area and use route planners online to find the distance between your location and the sites you want to see. Read reviews and lookout for indicators of the area too. If you are staying in a big city, then European hotels near metro stations and underground stations will generally be very useful as these usually provide links to all the major sites.

Parking: Many people will travel around Europe with a car and this will mean then that they require somewhere to keep it. Look into then whether or not there is parking in your hotel – and choose one that offers somewhere free to keep your vehicle off road. If you’re parking in the street or paying for parking then other European hotels might be more convenient and cost effective.

Sharing: If you are staying hostels rather than European hotels, then you risk having to share with other travelers. For some people this will be off-putting as they will want to keep themselves to themselves and as they will worry about thieves. For other travelers it will be a bonus to get to socialize and meet other people. When booking your European hotels make sure to look at whether or not you’ll be sharing with other people.

Opening Hours: if you plan to be out all night partying then yo don’t want to stay somewhere where the last check in is 11pm. Likewise it is important to know the closing times of European hotels when you are arriving – particularly if you are running late.

When you are choosing from all the European hotels you must take into consideration many aspects. Price is surely one of them, unless you have enough money to do whatever you want. The location is an aspect we all should think about when we are choosing European hotels, even if we have money or not. Choosing a hotel with facilities nearby is important. Opening hours is less important in my opinion.

Parking isn’t so important when you are choosing European hotels. Every hotel has a private parking lot. I haven’t seen any European hotels without one. And neither any European hotels which require money to keep your car. So, parking isn’t in my opinion an important aspect.

The price is of course the most important aspect when you choose from a range of European hotels. I personally cannot afford to stay at expensive and luxurious European hotels. So, I try to look for the ones I can afford. Finding cheap European hotels means I have more money to have fun wherever I want. Don’t you agree with me?

  4. Rainny October 16, 2011 3:58 pm

Sincerely, to me is not very important to choose luxurious European hotels while I’m traveling. I do not think too much when I choose for a place to stay. All European hotels which offer you a quite place to sleep are great for me. To me is more important to have fun during the day and visit as many places as possible than to stay in the hotel. That’s how I think.

I’m very careful when I choose from a range of European hotels. There are many aspects which I take into consideration. The prize is one of them. I must be convinced if the quality of services is directly proportional with the money they ask for. Choosing European hotels isn’t so easy when you are trying to not spend so much money but fell good too.

  6. Genea October 23, 2011 3:59 pm

I didn’t think of all these aspects before. These things make it a little difficult to choose the European hotels. I prefer to not think of this when I choose a place to stay. And I always take a good decision. So, if you ask me about choosing European hotels, I will respond you I simply choose whatever I like.

I guess everybody thinks at prize when they choose European hotels. This is the most important aspect. I personally don’t like to spend much money on European hotels. More important is to spend money on places I like to visit, on souvenirs etc. I guess many people think like me.

This article about choosing European hotels offers some great tips for those who plan their trips on their own. I personally ask help from vacation planners. This way I mustn’t struggle with all these aspects. They choose from all the European hotels the one which is perfect for me. And be sure they do make a great choice.

I’m sure that most of the people think of price when they choose from a range of European hotels. This is the first thing I think of. It is, in my opinion, one of the most important aspects. I look for cheap European hotels but for ones that have good services too. In fact, all of us want something good but cheap too.

  10. Terranova October 30, 2011 11:00 am

Some of the best European hotels aren’t the cheaper ones. If you can afford, the price isn’t important when you choose from a range of European hotels. I personally cannot afford to stay at some of the most expensive European hotels. For me price is important. Every time I choose a place to stay I look first at the price.

  11. Felickia October 30, 2011 3:42 pm

I agree with you that many people travel around Europe with their car. For them the parking problem is very important. When I choose from all European hotels I’m very careful to choose a hotel with a parking lot. I have to keep my car somewhere no? So, from all these aspects the most important for me when I choose European hotels is this one.

  12. Demi October 30, 2011 4:20 pm

Sincerely, for me, when I choose European hotels, these aspects aren’t so important. I don’t want to think neither at price and neither about the location or etc. For me, choosing European hotels isn’t so difficult. I don’t care about the parking lot or about the price. I simply want to have fun.

  13. AndreeaBoc December 2, 2011 9:39 am

For me isn’t so difficult to choose from a range of European hotels. I admit, these aspects are very important, especially the prize. But I always try to not get complicated. In fond, a good holiday doesn’t depend on the European hotels. It depends with whom you stay and what places you visit.

  14. Nina12 December 3, 2011 7:57 am

When I choose European hotels, I always choose depending on the budget. In fond, this is the most important thing. If I have a large budget, I can afford a better hotel right? So, of course the main thing to be taken into consideration is the prize. I look for all the European hotels which fit into my budget and then I choose the best from all.

  15. Bersca December 3, 2011 8:47 am

I am always good at choosing European hotels. That is because I am not picky at all. I am easy to please. So, all European hotels are ok in my opinion. They don’t have to be very luxurious or very expensive.

  16. Virgylia December 11, 2011 8:45 am

Oh, I always have problems when I choose European hotels. I always think they are trying to steal us. They have really big prices, but you can always negotiate with them. Every time I look for European hotels, I negotiate. And you know what? They always agree to negotiate with me.

  17. Faranume December 11, 2011 8:48 am

I didn’t know that exist European hotels which have closing time. It’s a stupidity in my opinion. I wouldn’t like to stay at any of these European hotels. I want to be able to come back at the hotel whenever I want. It’s like they are my mom and they say at what time I must go back home.

  18. Denissee January 5, 2012 2:07 pm

I do not think that choosing European hotels is hard. I have never had problems regarding this. I have never thought to think about all these aspects. Only the price and the quality of services are important when choosing European hotels. Am I not right?

  19. Gorun January 8, 2012 3:55 am

Hm..Opening hours? I’ve never heard about this. Are there European hotels with opening hours? I’ve never met this idea so far at any European hotels. But I do not think this would be great for tourists.

  20. Romica January 8, 2012 8:03 am

You know what I believe to be the most important aspect when choosing European hotels? Parking!! Everywhere I travel in Europe there is a problem with parking lots. Is this happening only to me? I’m tired to not find a place to park my car when I travel.
