In Lithuania league minimum is 1,5K euro a month. But two top team players earn from 10 to 100K euro per month. In richer basketball countries like greece/spain or turkey/russia players earn up to 500 K euro a month! so its makes them quite rich, of course we cannot compare with 20millions a year with NBA but 3-5 millions is quite good as well

Complaining about making that kind of money makes me sick. I agree with Jayden. What if you only made 20 grand a year or less? Then you could say you deserve more.

2 million dollars to play basketball and they complain? Try making under 30 grand a year. Then maybe you can complain. I know they work hard at playing basketball but come on. Quit complaining.

I don’t know many things about European basketball salaries. Basketball is one of my favorite sports. When I was at high school I practiced it. I was very good, but I thought that this is not a good job. I thought well because from your article I understood that European basketball salaries are lower then other sports’ salaries.

I’m not very interested in European basketball salaries. I don’t care how much they earn.
Basketball is a sport I like. I actually practiced it in high school. But this doesn’t make me to be interested in European basketball salaries.

4 million dollars a year? I could just play one year and retire. I could not imagine being a European basketball star and making that kind of cash. Would sure be nice though.

European Basketball salaries are smaller than other sports salaries. I don’t understand why, because all athletes make efforts.

To me basketball is a great sport. I think that European basketball salaries should depend, of course, on the performance of each player. But there are a lot of great players, that haven’t appeared on the TV yet, even if they are very good at this sport. They just haven’t this chance.

Honestly, basketball is a big sport globally, but soccer is still bigger in Europe. So honestly, the difference is there as well. Also, I think that it doesn’t make a difference how much money you make there, because they make pretty good money still. It may not be NBA, but it’s good enough not to complain. Some people just want more for nothing. You see people in the NBA sitting on the bench getting paid a 30 million dollar salary just to sit on the bench, and eventually, get traded. So it goes to show that the game is different in that aspect as well. You aren’t getting 10 million on a European squad to sit the bench, and that’s for sure.
