Dating people from other cultures has a lot to offer and can help you to meet someone very different from yourself with lots to talk about and lots to share. At the same time though it can also pose some unique challenges such as language barriers, cultural divides and general differences. Then of course there is the geographical aspect to consider. Here we’ll have a quick look at European dating, how to go about it, what to expect and how to avoid common difficulties.
Meeting European Singles
Some people can just fall in love with a culture or a place and this can leave them looking for European dating specifically (while for others it just happens). If you’re interested in meeting European singles, then this can be slightly more tricky than finding local partners, but thankfully there are lots of ways to make life easier for yourself.
First of all you should consult the internet – thanks to modern technology the world is much smaller than it ever has been before and you stand to benefit from this if you’re interested in European dating. Just look for a European dating site, or if you want something more specific try ‘French dating’, ‘Polish dating’, ‘Czech dating’ etc. Other methods are to get introduced by a European friend, or to go over there.
Cultural Differences
Now depending on the person you are dating there might be significant cultural differences or only very minor ones. If you are dating someone from England or Wales for instance, then you won’t need to worry too much about the language barrier, while someone from Poland or Romania then you might have more difficulty.
What you also need to bear in mind however is the challenge of cultural and personality differences. Everyone is unique, and that means that there will be people who are suited to you in any country. However at the same time there are certain traits that we associate with particular nationalities and these will be worth bearing in mind. For instance European dating in England might mean meeting someone more reserved and quiet, while meeting someone from Turkey might mean dating someone more ‘fiery’ and passionate – though these are of course only generalisations. Various countries also have different family traditions and this might mean that they are highly family oriented above and beyond other commitments. Religion is also a consideration, and for instance using the previous example dating someone in Turkey might mean dating a Muslim. Again this will mean they come with their own beliefs and practices.
The main thing to remember with European dating is to put aside any preconceptions you have and to judge the person on their own merits. However it is also important to take the time to learn about your partner’s culture and to show an interest and respect for their traditions. At the same time you also need to make sure to discuss matters of culture and tradition with your partner. If you’re dating a Muslim for instance, make sure you are comfortable with your children being raised according to Islam, and discuss issues like polygamy. With European Dating you just need to take extra time to make sure you’re both on the same page and that you are compatible.

I have never tried european dating before. I do know, however, one thing when trying online dating. As you said, preconceptions must be put aside. You shouldn’t judge a person before meeting her. It’s just wrong.
I’m not into online dating. But I wouldn’t have a problem in trying this european dating. Although it might take some time to get used to a person you know on the internet.
European dating is easier to try nowadays. This is because the intense use of the internet.
Hmm, you put a nice picture on your post about European dating. It is really inspired.
Online European dating I did 2 years ago. It is interesting because you can meet a lot of people and make a lot of friends. Actually I met my boyfriend online, on facebook. What a happy accident, isn’t it?
European dating can be so much fuuun. But you need to be patient with the guy you are going to meet. And also very careful. European dating can be dangerous.
Nice tip you mentioned right there. It’s good to know a little about someone’s culture, before starting talking to him.
What can I say about European dating? In my opinion is hard to have a relationship with someone from other country. Seeing him rarely, just talk on the phone or on the internet it’s hard. I’m not sure I could have a long distance relationship. So… when I talk about European dating, the distance is a major problem.
I agree that it is nice to know about ones culture. I think that culture is very important to learn.
This is a great article on European dating. I love the picture. What a neat concept that it involves:)
I won’t try any online european dating service. I always prefer to meet people in real life. It’s the best way to get to know someone. Behind an LCD, anyone can be whoever he wants. That’s why I’m not a fan of online european dating.
I also agree with Roll. The best way to know a person is to talk to him in real life. Online european dating might be fun, but you can waste a lot of time. You can’t know a person 100% even in real life. But at least you have more chances to succeed.
When we talk about European dating I don’t think it is important to know about the culture or religion of that person. In my opinion these things are not so important. The most important thing is to get along well with that person, to have fun and to like it. Other things are less important and are easy to solve.
So, the most important thing about European dating is to be with the person you like most.
European dating is something my parents would be very proud of. They met through european dating, as they are from different countries. My father is from Sweden and my mother is from Ukraine. I’m so glad my parents are of different cultures. And all that thanks to european dating!
I tried some european dating 2 years ago. I was in vacation, traveling across 5 different countries. I managed to meet some girls from all over those places. Not much, but I improved my self esteem. It’s also good as when trying european dating you get to know a culture much better.
I’ve looked on European dating sites. I’ve made a lot of friends this way. With some of them I’m still friends. However I’m sad because I haven’t met somebody to start a relationship with. This is the reason I’m looking on European dating sites no?
I haven’t looked on any European dating sites so far. I’m afraid. You don’t know what kinds of people are hiding behind the computer. To me, European dating sites are dangerous. I prefer to stay alone than to look on this kind of sites.
You have to really learn how to judge the person yourself. Do not take anyone elses word for it. And learning all about their culture just makes sense. You will learn a lot about them by doing that.
