European Honeymoon Ideas

European Honeymoon

European Honeymoon

Choosing a place for your honeymoon can often be a tricky decision. For many of us this is supposed to be the happiest week-to-a-month of our lives and is supposed to set the tone for hopefully 60 years or so of marital bliss. For those still struggling, consider a European honeymoon, for a varied selection of locations that can offer something for any kind of European honeymoon.

One great location for a European honeymoon is Rome, and this has all the hallmarks of a great honeymoon location. Of course there are many exciting historical sites to look around – such as the Coliseum, St Peter’s Basillica and the Vatican City, the Roman Forum and countless other statues, churches and temples – each of which is a romantic site lit up at night or during a sun set; but on top of this you also have the great climate (Rome is always warm), excellent nightlife and fantastic cuisine and alcohol all of which makes for a perfect European honeymoon.

Rome though is not the pinnacle of romance for a European honeymoon, and that award must instead go to Paris, which is well renowned as the most romantic place on earth (what better place for a European honeymoon?). This is due not only to the dim lights and pastel glow of the Parisian streets but the whole experience – the language, the culture, the food and everything else combine to make the perfect European honeymoon destination. Again of course you also have the great history and sites such as the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre to look around to ensure you don’t run out of things to do. Or if you fancy a more childish but ‘magical’ experience for your European honeymoon you could even visit Disneyland.

But for many the ideal honeymoon is a hot sandy beach, and this too can be achieved with a European honeymoon, for example if you stay somewhere like Turkey, Spain, Mallorca or Portugal. Go ‘all inclusive’ at your hotel and get all of your food laid on at the beach and you can enjoy perfect luxury and not have to leave your resort. Equally or more romantic however is to go for the opposite end of the spectrum and have a cold European honeymoon – somewhere scenic on a mountain covered in snow, snuggling by the fire in a log cabin with a bottle of Whiskey – what could be more romantic for a European honeymoon? Here you can try Austria, Zakopane (in Poland), Swizerland or several other locations.

Can’t choose your European honeymoon? Then why not go on a road trip or travelling and visit a few? It’s unconventional, but some of the best European honeymoons are those where the couple get to really experience the world together and grow as a partnership as a result.

Having an european honeymoon is the best option you can go for. Trust me, been there, done that. I’ve had an european honeymoon in Mallorca. Great views, nice people, it pays you back.

Fortunately, this continent can offer you lots of european honeymoon choices.

European honeymoons are very romantic. St. Peter’s Basilica would be a great place to visit together after having promised your life together.
I would think an all inclusive stay at a beach would be a good idea as well. Beaches are fun and family friendly, yet at the same time can be romantic.

These European honeymoon ideas are great. It’s almost the time for me and for my lover to marry each other. I’m nervous, but very happy at the same time. I’m sure that everything will be perfect.

So, because our marriage is almost a few weeks away, we are thinking of how to spend our honeymoon. We know that we want to spend it in Europe, but we don’t have any European honeymoon ideas at all. Hope that my fiancé likes your ideas because some of them I actually find attractive.

To spend a European honeymoon with my beloved one is my biggest wish. Europe has such romantic places.
I like your European honeymoon idea about Rome. In my opinion Italy is one of the most romantic countries. Italians really know what romance means.

In my mind, a great European honeymoon must be in a tropical area. Staying with my love at sun and swimming in that sea with that warm and clear water is what I desire from my honeymoon. I like the idea to spoil the people I love. I like to give my best to them.
So, when I’ll have my wedding I’m sure I’ll have a beautiful European honeymoon.

Spending a great European honeymoon is probably the most important thing to a bride. After all preparations for the wedding, a relaxing vacation is all that a couple needs.
Your European honeymoon ideas are interesting. These destinations are places that deserve to be seen. France and Italy are in my opinion great destinations for a European honeymoon.

I like the idea of spending my honeymoon in Europe. This continent has a lot of things to offer.
I cannot admit that your European honeymoon ideas are fantastic. I mean, Rome and Paris in my opinion are the most romantic destinations for a European honeymoon. If I must choose I would definitely pick one of these two locations for my honeymoon.

Every person desires something different for his or her honeymoon. Like you said, many people dream of a European honeymoon around the sea. This place can offer many romantic views, perfect for a European honeymoon. Europe has a lot of beautiful beaches where you can fulfill your dream about spending your honeymoon around the sea. Spain is one of those places which can offer you a special honeymoon.

In my opinion Disneyland isn’t one of the beast ideas for a European honeymoon. It is too childish. Spending your European honeymoon around kids… isn’t that romantic. A honeymoon should be somewhere where you can be alone with your mate, in a quiet place far from the crowd. Theme parks are exactly the opposite.

  12. Nostradamus May 15, 2011 3:46 am

Hey, I would like to spend my European honeymoon at Disneyland. Since I was little I’ve wanted to visit this theme park, but I’ve never had the chance.
Even if I get married, this doesn’t mean I will become very serious. I will always remember that sometimes we must forget of our problems and be kids. So, maybe, in my European honeymoon I’ll visit Disneyland.

  13. Lecsu May 15, 2011 4:34 am

I too think that the most beautiful European honeymoon a couple can have is around see. It’s just the way I see a perfect honeymoon. Turkey, Spain, Portugal are in my opinion great destinations for a European honeymoon. Enjoying the sea, the beach and be treated well is enough. All you have to do is to enjoy.

  14. Nell May 15, 2011 5:03 am

Sincerely, I don’t know where I would go in my honeymoon. There are so many beautiful destinations for a European honeymoon. I think I would like to make a short tour of Europe, visiting 4 or 5 countries. Staying in just one country could become boring.
This is how I see my European honeymoon.

  15. Amira May 15, 2011 5:16 am

I know exactly where I would spend my European honeymoon. If my husband agrees me, I will choose the destination for our European honeymoon, France. It is my favorite country. It is perfect for a honeymoon. It is romantic, people are welcoming and it is impossible to not feel good.

  16. Desdemona May 15, 2011 5:46 am

Amira, people in France are not so welcoming. Every time I went to France I had some problems with people. Indeed, it is a good destination for a European honeymoon but not this point of view. It is probably the most romantic country in Europe, but people are too conceited. I don’t think I would choose France as a destination for my European honeymoon.

  17. Liena May 15, 2011 6:15 am

I spent my European honeymoon in 3 countries. At first we went to Portugal. I hadn’t believed that this country is so beautiful. We had a great time there. Then we went in Spain, and then in France. I could say that my European honeymoon was the best thing that happened to me after I married my husband.

  18. Rosa Wiles June 30, 2011 9:19 am

I totally agree with the last paragraph here. Make the most of your trip and it will be great as long as you have your loved one with you. I think it would be fun to plan it as you go. That way you can be spontaneous and have a great time.

  19. Zeus August 25, 2011 11:01 am

To me the thought of going to Europe for a honeymoon is not all that appealing. I would much rather spend the money here in the states. Why let them gain some money while they take mine? Spend here in the US if you know what I mean!!!

  20. Titu September 18, 2011 12:15 pm

I’ve spent my European honeymoon in Rome. My wife was excited. She said it was like in her dreams. But as far as I’m concerned I would have loved a more adventurous European honeymoon. But, with all these, it was the best week of my life.

  21. Grill September 18, 2011 1:13 pm

I would like a European honeymoon in all Europe. I mean, I would love to visit every country from Europe in my honeymoon. Today be in Italy, tomorrow in France for example. This is the European honeymoon I dream of. I hope this happens.

  22. Srima September 30, 2011 12:33 am

Venice is probably the best place to spend your european honeymoon. I was there and I could say this place is beautiful. It is like in heaven. I would really love to spend my european honeymoon there. I think it is the perfect place for an event like this.

  23. Feta September 30, 2011 1:48 am

All the destinations you mentioned are great for a European honeymoon. But, they are different from one to another. I, personally, think that a place with a beach is perfect for a European honeymoon. Destinations like Mallorca or Portugal are perfect. I hope my future husband agree with me.

  24. Lolita September 30, 2011 7:00 am

I don’t want something big for my European honeymoon. I just want to spend a great time with my beloved one. But, if I were to choose a destination for my European honeymoon I would choose Paris. I guess all the girls are in love with this city. It is romantic and also beautiful.

  25. Uzzi September 30, 2011 10:39 am

All the people said they would love to spend their European honeymoon at the beach. I, personally think mountains are better. Firstly, because I don’t stand the heat. Secondly, I don’t know how to swim. And thirdly, the landscapes around mountains are beautiful and peaceful. I hope I will find somebody with the same preference regarding European honeymoon.

  26. Jingle October 9, 2011 9:52 am

I’m a very romantic person. I would love to spend my European honeymoon in Verona. It is the setting of the most famous love story of all time no? I am sure it is the perfect location for my European honeymoon. And I’m sure my fiancé will love it too.

  27. Bell October 9, 2011 2:54 pm

I don’t have many preferences regarding my European honeymoon. Anywhere I go I’m sure I will have a lot of fun. The place isn’t so important as long as you are with the person you love. So my European honeymoon could be anywhere if my beloved one is with me. Don’t you agree with me?

  28. Hard October 9, 2011 3:26 pm

I would love to spend my European honeymoon in Russia. I don’t know why but I’ve always been attracted to this country. I know it isn’t probably one of the greatest destinations for a European honeymoon but for me is what I want. I hope my wife will agree. If she doesn’t, then I’m in trouble. :D
