Investing is the best way to look after your money. An investment essentially means putting money into any purchase or project that you hope will give back higher returns. Often this means investing in the stock market – buying stocks and shares in companies and hoping that they will go up in price as that business becomes more successful. When you invest your money in a bank, this is then what they do with your cash in order to be able to add the interest which is a cut of the profit from their investments.
Just as there are many investments in your own country however, there are also a wealth of European investments that can be made thanks to Europe’s prominence in so many disparate industries, many exports and great locations. Not investing in any European investments is simply limiting yourself unnecessarily. At the same time, by making European investments as well as investments elsewhere, you can avoid putting all your money in one basket as it were – by spreading across multiple countries and continents, you will be less susceptible to losing out on your investments through economic turmoil in any one country.
This is only one of the benefits of European investments however. More importantly, it gives you a greater range of different things to invest in. Simply by opening yourself up to European investments you then provide yourself with a range of other businesses that weren’t there before.
The other large type of European investments for serious investors are properties. By making European investments in properties, you then give yourself again a larger range of different properties to choose from, and this allows you to invest in holiday homes for example. At the same time there are many cheap European investments to be made in some up and coming areas such as Sunny Beach, Bulgaria, that promise to make fast returns.
Other purchases of European exports can also provide good European investments. For example this might be something like art – of which much comes out of Europe, some French wine which gains value with age, or classic cars; any of which should gain value rather than lose it over the years and offers a range of European investments for any price range.
The variety of European investments is wide and most would say that they are more secured than others. Think about it, if you are looking for a secured investment Switzerland’s banks would be a great choice. If you are interested in buying stocks, most people would say that European stock markets are more stable than U.S or Asia. Of course we are not taking into consideration the current European crisis (2010) but looking more towards a long run. We are not trying to say that European stock market is secure. All we are trying to say that is slightly less riskier than US. Look at the Dow Jones performance over the last several year and than look at German DAX and you will see that it is more stable and doesn’t have those huge and hardly explainable ups and downs. Also for European investments you could a consider investing in features and bonds.
We strongly recommend to calculate all the risk related to the investment and as hard as it might sound to do DON’T BE GREEDY.
P.S. For all our readers we recommend this book : Invest in Europe Now!: Why Europe’s Markets Will Outperform the US in the Coming Years by David R. Kotok and Vincenzo Sciarretta

I have been thinking about investing in property in Europe. I think that a quaint little house that I could rent out would be a fun business to run. My only thing would be finding someone to run it. That would be hard to do from the states I think.
