I think there is some error in mens (US & Canada) shoe sizes because from size 9 it jumps to Size 10 1/2. What about size 9 1/2 and size 10??

I don’t agree with the fact that European shoe sizes are not the same anywhere in Europe. It’s hard to remember all those numbers. I must know when I want to buy a pair of shoes, European shoe sizes from all countries. Maybe for other people this is not difficult.
In my opinion European sizes should be the same anywhere.

I don’t like that European shoe sizes are different from a country to another. Like date format it is difficult if you travel in a foreign country.
If I go to the store and I want to buy shoes I don’t even know what size to ask for. It can be embarrassing.
European shoe sizes must be the same in every country from Europe.

It is very confusing to me. I went to a store in Germany and they asked what size I wore and I said a 9. They looked at me like I was crazy. Then I realized that sizes there are different.

I agree that you should remember what your shoe size is in all the countries. I did not know what size I wore in Eupopean shoes until I went to Germany and found a pair of shoes I liked. Now at least I know.
I remember years ago I had a pair of shoes that had three different sizes on them. I know one was for the US, and one was for Europe but I am not sure what the other was for.

But what about half sizes? If I am a 7.5 in U.S. how can I convert to a Euro 38 which is a 7?? A U.S. size 7 is too small for me. Help!!!! I’ve seen some Euro charts that say 38 is equal to a 7 and a 7.5? How can that be? I don’t get it. Should I go up to a 39?? Which would be a U.S. size 8 which I am not either? Totally confused.

This is confusing. In Australia I’m size 8.5 but in Central Europe I’m size 39. On your chart that makes me somewhere between a 6 and an 8 in UK sizes…

It is not that easy to use the european shoe sizes as the universal sizes. People are used to their type of measure. It would take some time to accommodate.
