Whilst there is a growing trend with traditional and wooden toys at the moment, it really does seem these days that kids have far too many toys, and many of them ar made of plastic, and if they don’t break before the batteries need replacing, they all eventually end up in the landfills with a negative impact on the environment.
Eco- friendly quality wooden toys, made from sustainable souces are still being made in several European countries, and there is still a demand for them in the UK, as we are all becoming more environmentally aware.
The play value of wooden and traditionally made toys is still the same as it was all them years ago.
The great thing about traditional wooden toys, is that they will never run out of batteries, last for years to come, and when they finally do have their day, they will recycle very well the compost heap or the log burner.
I really do hope, that the rising interest in traditional toys and classic toys continues to be not just a trend, but a different attitude in choosing the right toys for our children.
you are absolutely right. european toys are maybe the best toys in the world. children also seem to love europe toys more than bad quality chinese stuff.
Ben, you can’t compare european toys to chinese toys. There is a huge difference. I don’t even know if wooden toys are made in China. If they are, they are NOT the same quality as the europe toys are.
That’s right, Lorette. In my opinion, Chinese toys are much more dangerous for kids. Compared to european toys, their quality is poor. Poor materials, poor electronic quality. And remember that China’s toy production is more than 95% in the electronic area.
europe toys rule!!
Even if I grew up I still keep some of my old European toys.
A child toys are the most important things to him. Imagine your childhood without toys. Or imagine it without some games that make our childhood much funny.
Indeed, now European toys have evolved and are cutest then our old toys, but they still are made to make a child’s life much better.
European toys should be safe. Little kids are playing with them.
These days, European toys are not safe at all. Many kids can hurt playing with them. The producers should be careful on what they create.
I think that European toys are great. I love how the wooden ones last so much longer. I feel that if they are wooden they have a much higher quality to them. I had some wooden toys as a child and they are holding up for my children to play with.
