These days, European television is gaining huge popularity over films. It is an accessible medium of entertainments for everybody. Television provides all kinds of entertainment for all segments of the European society. European television has separate channels for home entertainment, sports, news, music etc. But is it possible to have satellite Television all over the place?
These days, online television is spreading its craze all over the world. Demand of live television is mostly observed by sports lovers. Many fans show wonderful obsession in taking the record on their much loved soccer game or a cricket match.
Millions of people are sitting in their workplaces and taking the pleasure of their live sports right at their work place. Europe has always been a sporty environment. Therefore, people in Europe are obsessed with their favorite sports. They will do any thing to watch their favorite sport live match. Eurosport has made it possible for them. Eurosport, launched in 1989, can be understood as a European satellite cable network for sports only. This network is responsible for connecting fifty four countries all over the world. It is also accessible with your cable operators. Ideally, Eurosport should be included in your basic Cable package itself.
The satellite network is being broadcasted in twenty different languages including English, German, Italian, French, Dutch, Portuguese, Finnish, Spanish, Swedish, Hungarian, Russian, Romanian, Polish, Danish, Turkish, Cantonese, Greek, Serbian, Norwegian and Bulgarian. It covers the UEF cup, Paris Dakar Rally, the Monte Carlo Rally, the UEFA Champions League, the Olympics, Sony Ericsson WTA Tour, World Championship Snooker, the French open, Le Tour de France (which is a cycling event), the Australian Football League and the UEFA Cup Winner’s Cup. What more can a person ask for!
Also exciting events like winter sports (skating competitions) are covered on a seasonal basis. Eurosport International, which was widely prevalent, got replaced by the British Eurosport in 1999. Eurosport is very popular all over Europe. It had to meet a downfall in 1991 when Screensport channel complained against it to the European Commission. The TF1 group supported this channel to regain its popularity. The consequences are right in front of you, in the present day! The following channels are broadcasted in this package: British, France, Deutschland, Asia Pacific, Poland, Italia, and Nordic.

Europe sport would not be so popular without eurosport. It is a great channel. And the favourite of all sports fans.
Eurosport is my favorite europe sport channel. In my opinion, it revolutionized the sports channels. Eurosport is very popular and professional.
Eurosport become my favorite europe sport channel after telecasting cycling tours. I started watching football, ski etc thanks to them.
I love eurosport!
Eurosport should promote the europe sport more often. And I don’t see the point in having 2 eurosport channels (?!).
@Thomson there is a reason why there are 2 eurosport channels. Remember there may be more than 1 live event at a time. And knowing that europe sport is active, there is a point in having more than 1 eurosport
I could not imagine watching sports at my place of work like the Europeans do. I am sure I would get fired if I did that.
I can see why European sports are so popular though. They are very entertaining, even if you are not much for sports.
