When traveling around Europe you will need an International Europe Phone Card. Trying to find information on which calling cards are the right ones for you can be quite confusing, this guide is designed to make the process a little simpler.

International Europe Phone Card

First off, as of early 2010 there is no one card that is perfect for use all around Europe. So your best bet is to determine where you would like to vacation first. Take into account that you will probably not stay in one area during your whole stay. You may leave one country to visit some nearby attractions in another.

Make a rough itinerary of your destinations or map them out, before purchasing an International Europe Phone Card. If you intend on staying in one hotel during your entire stay then it would probably be a good idea to buy an International Europe Calling Card for the country your hotel resides in. After all, most of your phone calls to family and friends back home will probably be made from the comfort of your hotel.

If most of your walking, driving or touring will be done in a specific country then purchasing an International Europe Phone Card for that specific country. You can probably get away with purchasing a cheap International Europe Calling Card for this country, whereas the only calls you will most likely make from here are for directions, if your car breaks down, or you need to be picked up by a car service.

Now if you intend on visiting a great number of countries during your visit, the best thing would to be to determine a ‘base of operations’. This will be the one country that you will frequent the most during your travels, whether it is because of driving through it or near its borders. Purchase an International Europe Phone Card for this country, because no matter what you should be able to get back to its borders to make a phone call.

When visiting Europe for work, you may need to plan things a little differently. For instance, you may not know where all you will be traveling in advance. The best thing to do in this case is to call the project manager, find out if they will be providing an International Europe Phone Card and if not what countries you will be traveling in, so that you can try to plan in advance. If no one knows, do not worry you can purchase an International Europe Calling Card at most payphone locations, convenience stores, tobacco and newspaper stands all throughout Europe.

The international europe calling card is probably the best idea. It worths the money you spend on it. With it, you don’t risk at all. And you don’t get to buy a phone card for every country you visit. However, you should have mentioned the international europe phone card’s price too.

The international europe calling card comes in handy. It is very useful no matter what country you are visiting. The international europe phone card is also not expensive. I have used it once. And I wasn’t disappointed.

@Lindsay the international europe calling card does work. I am sure you have done something wrong. Make sure you read the instructions before. And I don’t think that there is any broken international europe phone card.

    Good luck.

When I went to Europe, we pitched in and bought one of these. It was just easier to do so we could call home to our parents and let them know what we were up to. I would not have wanted to been stuck with a large bill when we left the hotel. We called home every few days and there were 14 of us. So it would have been quite costly otherwise.
