Mercedes Benz, owned by the Daimler AG (previously known as Daimler-Benz), is one of the most common names for luxury car manufacturing in the world. Mercedes is a name that has become synonymous with safety and technologically advanced vehicles, while keeping the luxury standards at the peak. Mercedes Benz came into existence soon after Karl Benz had made the first automobile in the year 1886. The first Daimler vehicle was engineered by Wilhelm Maybach in 1901. Soon after their initial success stories were written, Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler came together to form the company that we better know as Mercedes-Benz today. This company has been the frontrunner and has proved to be the prime example of German engineering for ages now. Mercedes and BMW are two of the most revered European car brands in the world, and are known for performance and luxury.
Today, Mercedes-Benz has a whole range of accolades to its name, especially in the quality section. It is known as the third most ‘quality conscious’ car brand of the world. Mercedes Benz has also been known as a brand that has a complete range of passenger cars, carriages and buses. Mercedes has also been constantly working on the concept of small city cars and has effectively been rolling out highly fuel efficient city car models since the year 1994. These fuel efficient cars have been a boon to the European market, Mercedes’ home ground, as the fuel costs here are almost double the fuel costs in the USA.
Although, there have been many famous Mercedes models in the past, the Mclaren SLR stands apart when it comes to the brand image of Mercedes Benz. The SLR is one of the most famous super cars in the world today. Built on the 5.5l V8 engine and a carbon fiber/fiber monocoque frame, the car can reach top speeds of 330 km/hr and comes with a hefty price tag of $500,000 approximately.
Apart from the passenger car range, Mercedes Benz is also a renowned name in the bus/van and the truck manufacturing section. Known for precise German engineering and the capability to weather all storms, buses and trucks from Mercedes are a revered lot all around the world. The Vario segment of Mercedes Vans is one of the most famous and used in the world. Because of their load-picking capacity and immense comfort, Vario vans have become a favorite with many transport corporation owners.
Sticking to their commitment to evolve and produce new technologies, Mercedes Benz has been working hard to produce great hybrid cars, with the F700 being the latest addition to its fleet of great hybrid cars.
Mercedes has meant a lot for the European car market, and therefore, should be regarded as one of the frontline European car brands that have existed for decades, now.

Mercedes Benz is truly a great car manufacturer. Their models are always top of the line and set the standards for the others to follow. Although i prefer BMW i think Mercedes Benz is the number one in the European car market industry.
Well talking about Mercedes Benz made me think about my favorite top executives C-class. Just thought I mention it here to give it the respect it deserves. Cheers all.
Mercedes Benz is by any standards the best car out there. And I don’t think just in Europe but the whole world. Always with high quality and inventions their models are top of the line and anyone that can afford to own one of them should consider buying.
Well simply put they are. The best. And finally they got rid off Chrysler. Maybe now they will focus more on hybrid cars research. With their great teams of engineers i am sure they will come up with something soon.
As for the best European car i can’t really say much. Maybe it’s Mercedes Benz or BMW or some other brand but i definitively love the brands coming from France. They are so stylish and modern.
All Europe cars are of great quality, well most of them. That is why they have so many models and different classes. To satisfy all the customers out there. I can’t imagine a guy with 4 or 5 kids to drive a Mercedes Benz.
If it’s a company car for an executive why not. He most certainly isn’t going to drive his kids to work. For that purpose I am almost sure that he owns a SUV or a minivan.
Mercedes – best car ever
Some even say that Mercedes Benz is the Europe Car. And, they are Americans, of course
. The rest know that Mercedes Benz is not the only good car produced by Europe.
I own a Mercedes Benz. Until know I have tried many cars (Ford, Toyota, Opel, VW, hyundai), but the Mercedes Benz is much comfortable and safe. So I won’t trade my Benz for anything.
I heard this: If you want to travel and be a passenger then go for – Mercedes Benz. If you love to drive then go for BMW . Is this true?
I like Mercedes Benz cars, they’re fast , smooth and have got amazing looks but I currently own a BMW and I absolutely love my car and I won’t trade it for any other car.

search for the New E-class. I think the front looks very good. The rear end seems like a bit of a ‘faux pas’ – maybe it’ll grow on us. I suspect this vehicle will debut in mid 2009 in North America. The current E-Class is on its last legs now, but if you like the current model, there are some great deals out there.
The 2008 SLR is a 2-door, 2-passenger convertible sports car, available in one trim only, the McLaren Roadster.
Upon introduction, the SLR is equipped with a standard 5.5-liter, V8, 617-horsepower, supercharged engine that achieves 12-mpg in the city and 16-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard.
The 2008 SLR is restyled for 2008.
Mercedes Benz is a fantastic europe car. But I don’t think it is the pride of the Europe. Also take into account Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley etc.
