European Circus
The origin of the circus dates back to the days of ancient Rome where they used to exhibit the horses and show chariot races, staged battles, and feature trained animals, jugglers and flexible acrobats. Most of us remember the day we went to circus when we were kids and we were fascinated by the tricks done by these trained animals and artists. Amazingly, circus is one of the oldest entertainment shows that is still very much alive and kicking and still fascinates our minds with the kind of tricks we see in that circular arena.

Today, European Circus Association looks after around thousands of European circus groups that thrive in Europe and abroad too.
Organizations like ECA not only promote European circus but they also save them from being victims of modern entertainment like television, cinema, malls and amusement parks. Many European circuses today work collectively as well to keep alive their tradition of circus.
