France

France, or better still, the French Republic has its metropolitan area confined to the western regions of Europe. Some cities in France also extend to other continents, and this a point of uniqueness about this country. The name ‘France’ is said to have originated from the Latin word ‘Francia’.

France has been a spearhead in the fields of Science and Technology and is also the home the metric system or the International System of Units. Leonardo Da Vinci, the French Renaissance and the French Architecture are the French expressions of great intellect that has existed and grown here for centuries. France's capital, Paris, certainly has a lot to offer.

Being an industry-oriented nation for the past few centuries now, France Europe, is the spearhead of the G-8 group of nations. Economically, France is very sound, and has been rated as the fifth largest economy around the world over the last several decades. French economy is based on exhaustive private enterprises, coupled with extensive and elaborate government intervention. The right coordination between these two factions has been the pillar around which the French economy has revolved over the years.

Among its major revenue generators is the tourism industry. In 2007, more than 80 million foreign tourists frequented France, which earned it the status of being the most loved and preferred tourist destination in the world. To bolster their tourism industry, the French government has provided France information on many France websites.  France sites are designed with the immaculate French precision and there is not a point out of context. The launch of domain names containing ‘Info fr’ is an attempt to popularize the demand for indigenous domains for that particular page France is concerned with.

France is also a permanent member of the UN and has the veto right. France’s strength in terms of art and culture, economy, intellect and presence on the world scenario draws a remarkable influx of foreign travelers, some of whom fall so much in love with this place that they settle here. Almost 10% of France’s population is non-native, which a testimony to the secular thought process of the French law makers and protectors of the constitution. It is said in France that “every man has two countries, his own and France.”
