Europe – the travelers paradise

European Destinations

European Destinations

It is for a reason that Europe fetches the maximum number of tourists in a year- its warm people and great natural beauty, coupled with aesthetic modernity. It is a well known fact that almost each and every country that comes under the European region has major tourist hubs, which attract customers from all over the world. Not only people from other continents, but people from within Europe also travel to the various tourist destinations in Europe.

The tourism industry also plays a major role in the economic stability of the European nations, and this is the sole reason as to why the governments have spent a massive amount of time and money in keeping various tourist places in Europe clean and updated. The climatic conditions and the exceptionally well connected airline services make traveling in Europe, a piece of cake. The ancient medieval history, coupled with some great historic monuments, palaces, churches and alleys have made tourist places in Europe a hot favorite among tourists of all age groups, backgrounds and nationalities.

France attracts most of the tourist influx in Europe. From the Louvre’ and the Eiffel tower to the Notre dam Cathedral and the Champs ET Lysée, almost every tourist spot in France, especially in Paris, has become a symbolic of the most visited places of the world. The Arc of Triumph, the Garnier Opera and the Gallo-Roman amphitheatre are some of the other places that can be termed as some of the best tourist places in Europe.

Germany and Rome follow France closely when it comes to some of the most visited tourist places in Europe. Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich and Düsseldorf attract tourists from all over the world. Business travelers and educational tourists also frequent these places. The Colloseum and the Palazzo Barberini are two of the most famous tourist places in Europe, belonging to Rome.

Apart from historic tourist places in Europe, great natural places are also hot favorites among tourists. Regions around the Alps, the Mediterranean Sea and the Pacific top the list of such places. Be it the open landscapes of Hungary, the great mountains in Switzerland or the beautiful beaches of Spain- Europe has everything to sooth a lover of nature.

Apart from some great tourist places, the people, food, culture and the festival of Europe beckon one and all to this land, offering a perfect mix of traditions and rebellion.

I’ve recently came back from Austria. I’d say that it is one of the best european destinations. I’ve visited the Schonbrunn Palace, the Hofburg Palace, the Danube Tower, Danube Valley etc. It was great!

I saw Berlin a few weeks ago. It was maybe one of the most interesting european destinations. Actually, all european destinations are interesting. Each one has something special.

European destinations for tourism is a great option as all these countries are well connected by Rail and Road and you don’t have to travel a lot to reach the next destination. I always prefer Europe over all other destinations.

I went to Paris last year and just he view from the Eiffel Tower is spectacular and a bit scary (I’m afraid of heights). My wife literally dragged me up the Eiffel tower. I’m glad I went up that tower.

As James mentioned above, the connectivity of European countries by rail , road and air makes it a top tourism destination. And last but not the least all the places and people are great.

I love the Picasso Museum so much that we hopped on the Metro from the Arch D’Triomph and went to the Marais (the Jewish quarter where everything is open on Sunday). Because it was the first Sunday of the month, we even got into the museum for free.

Don’t miss the Arc de Triomphe it magnificently crowns the hill from where the Champs Elysées, the Avenue Foch, the Avenue de la Grande Armée and nine other avenues radiate. At national days, a flag is stretched through the arch.

I visited the abbey church last year, it’s eleventh-century tower, by turns square, octagonal and lantern-shaped, flanked with pinnacles and capped with the Poitou pine cone really left me breathless.

Really true words – Apart from some great tourist places, the people, food, culture and the festival of Europe beckon one and all to this land, offering a perfect mix of traditions and rebellion.

Greece is one of the best European holiday destinations for you and your family if you have several kids in tow like I have.

  15. Kathryn December 12, 2008 8:58 am

Greece has spectacular views. My kids love Greece as they’ve taken up Greek literature. The romance and mystery presented by Mt. Olympus, Knossos and the Parthenon, among others, will help introduce them to the country, its people and culture.

One of the best tips you’ll ever get for moving around Amsterdam is to rent a bike as soon as you get there.

  17. Dreak December 12, 2008 9:08 am

@Danny.. Amsterdam is the bike capital of the world, with a whopping 40% of all traffic being created by bicycles. You’ll be a lot happier and healthier just using a bike everywhere (besides, parking is very difficult and expensive anywhere in the city).

  18. Peter December 12, 2008 9:30 am

This is an Interesting thing in Amsterdam. In Amsterdam coffee shops are places where marijuana, or cannabis, is sold and smoked. Don’t confuse these with café shops, where coffee and tea is served. You can buy up to 5 grams of cannabis, as well as other accessories for smoking, as well as cakes, pastries and different beverages

it is true that european destinations are between the most visited places in the world. but seriously, i don’t think that europe is the most beautiful place to see. there are also other gorgeous places to see. europe is not the only continent on earth. :)

  23. Angie December 22, 2010 5:59 pm

I have been to all four places that were listed for Germany. Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich and Dusseldorf. And I was quite pleased with them all. The hospitality was great, and the food was awesome. Plus I even got in on a few festivals.

  24. Jojo January 1, 2011 1:01 pm

Tourism in Europe is grand. Who could ask for more than a stunning country to visit with beautiful landmarks. Then mix in the warm feeling you get from the great hospitality. That makes for a paradise in my eyes. Add that to the food and culture and you have the complete package.

  25. Ty January 7, 2011 12:31 pm

Europe does have a natural beauty all of its own. I have never seen a continent that was more beautiful. The scenery in the Alps is like that out of a movie, very picturesque. It is a great paradise to me that I love to visit.

  26. Jill January 20, 2011 10:04 am

Last year I traveled to Europe and it was amazing. So amazing that I am planning another trip back there. This time I hope to make it to the Louvre’ and the Eiffel tower. I was very impressed with all the scenery and it truly is a travelers paradise.

  27. June February 6, 2011 9:24 am

I can see why Europe does have so many tourist each year. The land is so beautiful you would be crazy not to want to visit here. I have been there three times now and it just keeps getting prettier and prettier. Europe is the true travelers paradise if you ask me.

  28. Ben February 19, 2011 10:52 am

I will say that while touring Europe last year, I did notice that it was very clean. I appreciate it very much when I visit a place that is well kept. The places I have visited in Europe were well maintained and you could tell they worked hard to keep it that way. To me that just says that you want people to tour!

  29. Willow March 10, 2011 3:20 pm

The Alps are a place to see when you travel to Europe. They are a beautiful place to visit and a great way to appreciate the beauty of nature. Plus you can climb them if you so wish. I highly recommend seeing them because they are true paradise.

  30. Petra March 19, 2011 11:40 am

Any place can look like a paradise but Europe is a true paradise. The whole continent offers various things that are magnificent. I do not think one could find a better place to travel to. I am proud to say that I live here.
